Repertoire

A standard orchestral work with instrumental solo. Selection is subject to approval by the Competition Committee which may allow new or non-standard repertoire.

Preliminary Round Video-MP4 format

Exactly 5 minutes long. One take with no editing (we suggest you record 3 times and submit the best one.) A cut in a longer performance is allowed as long as the video was done in one continuous take.

Solo must be memorized and performed with piano accompaniment.

Set up the camera from the audience perspective (collaborative pianist not required to be visible.) Limit background noise and use good lighting. We encourage you to dress as though you were competing in person.

Do not speak or include any identifying information. The judging is anonymous.

Video must be submitted by 11:59pm on Sunday, February 1, 2026.
