Snap Audition Instructions

Please read the following instructions carefully before beginning your audition.

Before You Begin

• Turn your video and microphone ON.
• Judges will not see your video, but your camera must remain on for the audition.
• Your audition track will NOT play through Snap. You will need to play the track from an external speaker.
• Be careful with speaker placement:
• Do not place the speaker too close to the microphone.
• It is recommended that the singer stand between the microphone and the speaker to help prevent audio feedback and interference.
• Make sure you are in a quiet location and that your microphone is working properly before you begin.

Audition Order

Your audition will follow this order:

• Singing Portion
• Sight-Reading

Sight Reading

Sight Reading will follow the singing portion.

Sight Reading is NOT being scored or weighed towards overall scores this year (2026).

Please select the sight-reading exercise appropriate for your voice part:

• Item 2 - Treble Clef
• Item 3 - Bass Clef

Retries

If you experience a problem during your audition, please follow these guidelines:

• If you do not sing during your recording, you will have 30 seconds to select a retry.
• Once you select a retry, the new recording becomes your final recording.
• After a retry, whatever is recorded is considered final.
• Technical errors, such as your connection dropping, will also be given a retry.

Important

Before you begin, make sure your microphone, camera, internet connection, and external speaker are ready to go.

Once you begin your audition, do your best to complete the recording without interruption.
