Along with experience directing almost every type of school band and orchestra, Doug was also the Drum Major for the University of Nebraska Marching Band and the Colts Drum and Bugle Core (Dubuque, Iowa). Currently, he is also the Director of Auditions for the Nebraska Music Educators Association (NMEA).

Gloria Lum has been cellist for the Los Angeles Philharmonic since 1985. In 2020, she founded Audition Confidential, which prepares cellists for orchestral auditions through courses and one-on-one coaching. Gloria graduated from the University of Southern California, where she studied with Gabor Rejto and Ronald Leonard. Before LA, she was a member of the Oakland and Denver Symphony.
