When recording your audition in Snap. This only applies to recording within Snap, not recordings you make outside of Snap and upload latter.
On the Record tab, your web browser will request permission to use your camera and microphone when you click Start Try.
If video from your camera does not appear during the test phase you need to give Snap permission to use it.
- When you click Start Try, your browser will automatically enter full-screen mode. If the browser does not already have permission to access your camera and microphone, it will exit full-screen mode and prompt you for access.
- If your browser does not ask for permission:
- If you are stuck in full-screen mode, press Esc (or click your browser's back button) to exit full screen.
- Click the Settings/Lock icon on the left side of the address bar.
- Under the Permissions section, check the status for Camera and Microphone. If set to disallowed, toggle them to Allow and reload the page.
- Alternatively, update your global browser settings: Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Site settings > Camera / Microphone, find this site, and set permissions to Allow.
